Donnachadh (DON-nuh-kuh) is a small, family-owned vineyard in the Sta. Rita Hills AVA of Santa Barbara County. Situated along Santa Rosa Road, just 8 miles from the Pacific Ocean, the 285-acre property features 40 acres of Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Syrah and Gamay Noir, planted in 2013 by owners Drew and Laurie Duncan. Using organic farming practices and minimal intervention in the cellar, the Duncans released their first vintage in 2016, and today, along with esteemed Winemaker, Ernst Storm, and General Manager, Vilma Mazaite, Donnachadh continues to produce wines of character and refinement, balancing Old World elegance with the authentic spirit of the vineyard to let the fruit and terroir shine. Visit their Los Olivos space and be greeted by Tasting Room Manager, Samantha Foxen, to learn more about these estate wines.
Donnachadh is an ancient Gaelic name for the Duncans’ ancestral Scottish family, and mythical creatures grace the wine labels in tribute to their free-spirited heritage of adventure and discovery.
