Rebuilding Our Food System

Farm Tours – Sunday, May 22, 2022

 

An in-person* event in partnership with the Julia Child Foundation, Santa Barbara Culinary Experience, and Santa Barbara County Food Action Network, featuring special guest 2020 Julia Child Award recipient and Food Tank co-founder Danielle Nierenberg. Local and state environmental leaders, researchers, and regenerative farmers will join Danielle in discussion about how Santa Barbara can lead the nation in rebuilding soil health, capturing carbon, and building food system resilience.

The 2021 Santa Barbara Culinary Experience presented a series of virtual events combined with local offerings from hospitality and tourism businesses to support the community’s recovery from the Covid-19 pandemic. The events below attracted hundreds of participants and the recordings have been viewed thousands of times. Further, the events raised significant awareness and funds for each of our charitable partners. Go to the specific event page for more details. Scaled down in 2021 from the organized 2020 weekend, we hope to be able to offer a diverse range of events in 2022, built around the planned Rebuilding Our Food System.
