Enjoy an unforgettable evening that will transport you to the French countryside of Provence! Join the Two Baking Brits for a five-course Provençal-inspired dinner at Cheese Shop Santa Barbara featuring local produce. Each course will be paired with Zaca Mesa wines and stories of Julia Child.

A portion of the proceeds from the Taste of Santa Barbara will benefit the Santa Barbara Culinary Experience in partnership with The Julia Child Foundation for Gastronomy and the Culinary Arts.

Meet the Two Baking Brits!

Pascale Beale is a food writer, chef, and author of 10 cookbooks, including her latest food-memoir 9’ x 12’ Culinary Adventures in a Small Kitchen. She grew up in England and France surrounded by a family passionate about food. After moving to Santa Barbara she opened the Pascale’s Kitchen Cooking School in 1999, and was introduced to Julia Child where the two shared many memories, and meals together. You can find Pascale’s cookbooks, products and classes on her website or read her many articles and recipes in recent and past issues of Edible Santa Barbara.

Sandra Adu Zelli is the British chef behind Gipsy Hill Bakery. Sandra attended culinary school at the Colchester Institute and has worked alongside famous chefs including Yotam Ottolenghi where she continued to delve deeper into the world of pastry.

Since then she’s created dessert menus for Santa Barbara restaurants, collaborated with fellow chefs and started her own business, all while balancing her career with motherhood.
