Las Cumbres Ranch Tour

Grab your boots and join us for a tour of Las Cumbres Ranch!

Las Cumbres Ranch is holistically managed and regeneratively grazed
using methods that consider the condition of the cattle, the health of the soil,
the biodiversity of the pastures and the wildlife that reside on the land.

Operations Manager Stefan Selbert will lead a walking tour of the beautiful
grasslands that will offer a deeper look at how regenerative ranching impacts
the health of the land, quality of the food and ultimately our health.  You will
learn about the latest research and best practices for managing cattle to
promote soil health, biodiversity, and ecological resilience.

The tour continues with an opportunity to see the cattle up close and in person!
You will see the beautiful red ochre color of the Bonsmara cattle and learn
about the characteristics that make this breed perfect for California’s Central
Coast.

This experience ends with sips of wines offered by Los Alamos based Clementine Carter Wine and grilled nutrient dense, grass-fed and grass-finished Las Cumbres
Ranch sliders!

To make the most of this experience, we recommend wearing comfortable shoes suitable for uneven terrain, bringing a hat for sun protection, and bringing water to stay hydrated. We will have water refill stations available.

Please leave your pets at home as we are a working ranch.

Farmer Bio:

Stefan Selbert manages operations at Las Cumbres Ranch. He focuses on low-
stress cattle handling, soil health, rotational grazing management,
educational tours and sales.

love spending time with the cows and every time I find a new species of grass
it’s always so exciting. There is nothing better than being on the ranch!”
