The Santa Barbara Culinary Experience has a zero tolerance alcohol and drug policy when volunteering.

I hereby WAIVE and RELEASE all claims that I, my heirs, distributees, guardians, legal representatives, and assigns may ever have against Santa Barbara Culinary Experience and/or its parent company, affiliates, subsidiaries, officers, employees, agents, sponsors, advertisers, contractors, suppliers, licensees and assigns (collectively, the “Indemnified Parties”) for injury to my person or damage to or loss of my property caused in whole or in part by the negligence or other acts or omissions of any of the foregoing Indemnified Parties, in connection with my participation in Santa Barbara Culinary Experience taking place May 12-18, 2025.

Warranting that I am in good health and of sound mind, I hereby ASSUME ALL RISKS of injury to my person and damage to or loss of my property that are inherent in my participation in the festival, whether these risks are known or unknown to me, and I hereby EXEMPT and RELEASE Santa Barbara Culinary Experience and the other Indemnified Parties from any and all liability for any injury and/or damage or loss.

This RELEASE shall be governed and construed pursuant to the laws of the State of California without reference to its conflicts of laws rules. I hereby agree – with respect to any action against Santa Barbara Culinary Experience and the other Indemnified Parties relating to my participation in the Event – to accept service of process by first-class mail, return receipt requested, to waive any defenses or objections based on the absence of personal jurisdiction or improper jurisdiction and venue, and that the sole and exclusive jurisdiction and venue shall be in the courts (federal and state) located in the State of California.

I have read this agreement and understand its contents. I realize that this is a RELEASE OF CLAIMS and WAIVER OF LIABILITY. I sign this contract of my own free will.
