Santa Barbara Culinary Experience Postponed until March 12-14, 2021


Following communications with the Mayor of Santa Barbara, the City Administrator and the Santa Barbara County and California Health Departments, we have decided to postpone this weekend’s inaugural Santa Barbara Culinary Experience (SBCE), with the new date scheduled for March 12-14, 2021.


The mission of SBCE, in partnership with The Julia Child Foundation for Gastronomy and the Culinary Arts, is to shine a light on the culinary riches of Santa Barbara in the spirit of Julia Child. The events, many of which are sold-out, are intended to support our vibrant food, beverage, artisan and overall hospitality economies.


By postponing all events for this inaugural year, we believe we are doing the right thing to serve for the greater good of our County. This is a non-profit event in which we have already invested a great deal to shine a light on the wonders of Santa Barbara. Please let us know how you would like us to handle your tickets. You may choose one of two options:


If we do not hear back from you, we will assume you would like to donate the value of your ticket back to the Julia Child Fund for the Santa Barbara Culinary Experience, which will be 100% tax deductible –or–

If you would like a refund, please email and we will refund your ticket purchase and credit your account within the next 15 business days.


On a positive note, several partners would like to move forward with their Julia Child-themed events as originally planned and they will contact you directly to be re-ticketed. We hope that you will support these small businesses during these trying times, as they have worked very hard to produce a memorable experience for you.
