Join us for a special watch party as we screen some of Julia Child’s most iconic television shows, including classic episodes of The French Chef, Cooking with Master Chefs, and Baking with Julia, at the Ensemble Theatre Company’s The New Vic theater.

Todd Schulkin, Executive Director of the Julia Child Foundation for Gastronomy and the Culinary Arts, will host featured guests, Chefs Nancy Silverton and Susan Feniger, for conversations about working with Julia Child on and off the screen.

A portion of the proceeds from the Taste of Santa Barbara will benefit the Santa Barbara Culinary Experience in partnership with The Julia Child Foundation for Gastronomy and the Culinary Arts.

Special Guests:

Nancy Silverton is the co-owner of Michelin-starred Osteria Mozza, as well as Pizzeria Mozza, Mozza2Go, chi SPACCA, and The Barish in Los Angeles. In 2014, she received the highest honor given by the James Beard Foundation for “Outstanding Chef.” That same year, she was also listed as one of the Most Innovative Women in Food & Drink by both Fortune and Food and Wine magazines. In 2017, Nancy was profiled in an episode of Netflix’s award-winning docuseries Chef’s Table. Nancy is the author of nine cookbooks, and her tenth cookbook entitled The Perfect Cookie that Changed My Life will be released in the fall of 2023.

Susan Feniger is the James Beard Award-winning co-chef /owner of Border Grill as well as BBQ Mexicana and Pacha Mamas in Las Vegas, and Socalo in Santa Monica which she runs with her business partner of more than 40 years, Mary Sue Milliken. This year, the duo will open two new ventures Alice B. in Palm Springs and a fifth BBQ Mexicana in Vegas. Together, Feniger and Milliken brought their innovative approaches to The Food Network with nearly 400 episodes of the popular Too Hot Tamales series. They were invited to cook with Julia Child in her PBS series Cooking with Master Chefs. In 2018, Feniger and Milliken were named the recipients of the Julia Child Award, marking the first women to be honored.
