Behind the Scenes and Inside Julia’s Kitchen: An Intimate Conversation with Julia’s Friends and Family

Sunday, March 15, 2020

10-11:30am

The Alhambra at Hotel Californian

$50

Coffee, tea and a french-inspired light breakfast bite included. Go behind the scenes of The Julia Child Foundation for Gastronomy and the Culinary Arts’ own podcast, INSIDE JULIA’S KITCHEN on Heritage Radio Network. Host and Foundation Executive Director Todd Schulkin takes you inside the Foundation’s world to meet the talented people we have the good fortune of learning from, just as Julia did in her home kitchen. During this moderated conversation, Todd will be joined by some of Julia’s closest family members, friends and colleagues, to share a “Julia Moment” or two as well as candid insights from their personal relationships with Julia.

Confirmed participants include Julia’s great-nephew and MY LIFE IN FRANCE memoir co-writer, Alex Prud’homme; Award-Winning Pastry Chef and Julia Child Award Jury Chair, Jim Dodge; and author, culinary producer and veteran food stylist Denise Vivaldo of the Denise Vivaldo Group. There will be a Meet & Greet directly after the event!

Please note: the session will be recorded live for broadcast as part of a special future podcast episode and audience participation will be encouraged.
