You really can make a great crusty baguette of French bread at home. Local French Chef Pierre Henry studied in Paris under Chef Cyril Lignac of Le Quinzième and Le Chardenouxand and Pastry Chef Gontran Cherrier. He worked in a variety of French bakeries before opening Bree’Osh bakery right here in Santa Barbara. Pierre has adapted many classic French recipes for the home kitchen, including one of Julia Child’s favorites, the quintessential French baguette.

Join Pierre in Bree’Osh’s professional kitchen as he helps you hone baking fundamentals so that you too can make the perfect baguette at home. Review the simple ingredients you need paired with the traditional process of fermentation to get the perfect dough. In this hands-on class, you will have the opportunity to mix, divide, shape and bake your own baguette. At the end of the class, enjoy cheese, charcuterie and wine with your fresh-baked baguette.
